Cool. Never tried Kentucky moonshine but we have similar stuff in South Africa. Ireland has a similar drink too. Every country does I guess. In South Africa it is called wit-blitz ("white lighting") though it has other names too. Back home in South Africa I'd be called a red neck too (we say "rooi nek" though, Afrikaans) and I used to drink the cheap beer looked down on by those above me. *shrug*

Good moonshine is fine stuff. One of my uncles triple-distills the stuff, you can drink it all night long and never get a hangover. Of course, you need something plenty sturdy to lean against while you're drinking it... somehow, the world becomes a good deal more fragile after a while...

None. I don't drink. Heck, I consume something like 2 aerated drinks a year.

          Cheers, Vikram.

Orange juice? Really? Wow, I'll try it out and get back to you with the feedback.

Generally, scotch & water, though since my doctor recommended a good scotch every night to aid healing, I have been sipping on Glenfiddich as a nightcap. For dessert, it's hard to beat a Rusty Nail, unless you'd prefer to be able to walk home under your own power.

Maragaritas are always welcome. Hmm, Saturday afternoon, sitting on the patio, Margarita in hand, bar-b-que sizzling away, balmy 90 degrees in the shade... Yeah, I love summer in California! And I grew rather fond of Tequila Sunrise while vacationing in Cozumel last year (but it might have been the free bar, rather than the drink itself  )

I like the local variety called "Bad Juan's", made at our local hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. A pitcher is just the thing to end a long, bad day. Especially since you'll be unconscious after a whole pitcher!

I prefer Bacardi. Especially the Bacardi Anelo (sp?). I find that light rums taste better mixed with sodas than dark rums. However, for a good shot of rum, you've got to go with the dark stuff.

How can you like single malt Scotch and still like bourbon?

Because he doesn't really like scotch - how can you when you adulterate it with soda (or ice). Neat is the one true way of scotch.

I agree about soda and most times I don't like ice in scotch but a tiny splash of water really can open a scotch up.
