Are you certain the OS was finished writing the files before you unplugged it?

Did you do the eject hardware before you unplugged the drive? Does the PC recognize the pen drive? If the PC assigns a drive letter, you can try "Properties / Tools / Check Drive"

Can you see any files at all on it? Have you tried checking for file system errors? ie: right click -> Properties -> Tools -> Check Now, or try running "chkdsk" from a command prompt. -- Ian

Can you see any files from -before- your last copy attempt? Did the error check report anything? Have you tried reinserting the drive into your USB port? Have you tried using the drive on another computer? -- Ian

open "My Computer" point to the drive letter and do a right mouse click. select "Properties" click on the "Tools" tab click on the "Check Now" button check the "Fix File System errors" click on "OK"
