This used to be a nice place to visit. There was great personalities like Roger Wright, Colin Davies, Daniel Turini, Nish, Megan, code-frog, peterchen, Marc, Jörgen, Kari, Lauren, Anna, JoeSox, Chris, John(the outlaw one), Dunn and a lot more. And all those people that went to Microsoft, Brian, Tom etc. Some are still here but the general "feeling" of the Lounge is gone. Can somebody explain that? jhaga

It comes and goes. Bit of bad juju here lately, but I'm sure it will return to normal soon. I spoke too soon. Clearly the bad juju continues... :((

Since Maunder took up cycling and more and less deserted the Lounge it got worse I think. We need to start a petition to get him back. jhaga

Shh - it's a little known secret that Chris' cycling is there because he's sacked the hamsters. Somebody has to run the server farm.

Things got a bit rough in the last couple of weeks, but stick around. I believe that normality is being resumed.

Realistically, the only way to answer that is by abstraction to generalize the problem, using pointers at various members, and type casting. All in all, nobody can write decent code just with abstraction, pointers can be dangerous, and excessive type casting is usually the sign of a bad design. I think similarly, nobody can come up with a decent answer either. But more importantly, why wasn't I on your list of personalities? ;P Marc

At least I am. The last months I've been terribly busy, so I post a message only occasionally, but I regularly follows the laughter and tears here on The Lounge, which is the only web page that it's always open in my browser, all day long.

If you truly believe you need to pick a mobile phone that "says something" about your personality, don't bother. You don't have a personality. A mental illness, maybe - but not a personality. - Charlie Brooker My Photos/CP Flickr Group - ScrewTurn Wiki

haa! You agree with me! Actually I think it is a new generation taking over. Oldtimers are dying one after the other.

Can somebody explain that? jhaga
