The third and last satellite in the Skynet system is being put in place. Skynet[^] Why don't we ever learn from future history? Mind you...... T-X[^] :)

I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

Mostly, when you see programmers, they aren't doing anything. One of the attractive things about programmers is that you cannot tell whether or not they are working simply by looking at them. Very often they're sitting there seemingly drinking coffee and gossiping, or just staring into space. What the programmer is trying to do is get a handle on all the individual and unrelated ideas that are scampering around in his head. (Charles M Strauss)

I read the books (by D. F. Jones) before the movie came out: Colossus, The Fall of Colossus, and Colossus and the Crab. The movie (Colossus - The Forbin Project) did a pretty good job following the storyline of the 1st book. The 2nd book dealt with the completion of the Super Colossus, the destruction of Super Colossus and the pending invasion of Earth by Mars. The 3rd book continues with the Martian agenda and resurection of Colossus to help in the defeat of the Martians.
