Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett. I never laughed so much while reading a book.
I could think of a half-dozen or so books, all by Terry Pratchett :)

I finished to read some (non-technical) books I wanted to read and I'm looking for other good books :) . I don't have an idea about what I could read so I'm looking for advices. I mainly read fantasy but reading another style won't kill me I guess ;P .

Charting control [v1.4]Most of the stuff I'm currently reading have all become "older" books. Still great stuff though. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Anything by Terry Pratchett, anything by Isaac Asimov, George Orwell's "1984", anything by Jules Verne (classic stuff), the list is nearly inexhaustible.

Or maybe even two dozens, I just limited myself to the one I find best. :)

Charting control [v1.4]"Witches abroad" is another favorite by the same author. And even if I would normally recommend reading the Discworld series in chronological order, this one (as most of the early ones) is quite readable on its own.

Charting control [v1.4]I find Karen Rose is brilliant, Murder (Pretty nasty ones too). I like Kathy Reichs (She of Bones Fame) Also Reg Hill (Dalziel and Pascoe) Hope you find something you like. :)

Charting control [v1.4]Bill Bryson's stuff is generally rather good. I know it's non fiction, but he's a very easy read - and his book "A short history of nearly everything" is a fantastic introduction to the history of science for people (his description of the Big Bang is particularly entertaining).

Charting control [v1.4]Thomas Convenant, Black Swan, Cosmonauts Keep, three books I've enjoyed recently. Restful Web Services is a technical book that is actually pretty good. Well, I've slogged through two chapters and I'm not bored to death yet. Normally I give up after the foreword and go back to the internet.
