What Domain providers do you CPians use? I recently read someone or other here on CP was ranting about goDaddy, which was my choice till then. What others would you recommend?

I still use GoDaddy as my domain registrar, but am moving all of my sites to other hosting providers. I'm using DotNetNuke for some sites now and it is a nightmare on GD due to their security restrictions and lousy database tools. I just opened an account with iHostASP.net a couple of weeks ago and so far, so good. Had one issue that they addressed very quickly and performance is much better than GD.

Thanks for the info. I think i'll get the domain through GoDaddy and will use http://www.verio.com/[^] as my host. this is my first website and i don't need anything very fancy and verio (from their description) should fill the bill. Does anyone know any negative things about Verio? you have a few hours to turn my business away from them. :-D

I originally registered through Netsol (Network Solutions), but I now use 1&1 (1and1).    Peace!

Thanks for the feedback. I now am the admin of a site hosted by GoDaddy and the domain registar is also GoDaddy. I get 10,000 gbs a month for free with them! for a .com domain i only paid $9.99 and that included the hosting (econo package). great deal.

Glad you are happy.... Also, that sounds an ok deal , so long as they provide tech back up. I have seen cheap sites before that charge backup at £10 per call. ($20) Not so hot then! but goDaddy advertise big, so presumably have adequate support?
