Heineken and CP

Nope. Diet Coke for me at present. However if I were imbibing it would be at least a decent beer such as Becks or St. Pauli Girl or one of the good Canadian stouts I am quickly becoming fond of. :) Richard Monarchies, aristocracies, and religions....there was never a country where the majority of the people were in their secret hearts loyal to any of these institutions. Beer? People still drink that stuff? It tastes terrible. Oh wait, I'm thinking of American beer.
Not all American beer is that bad. Most of it - yes - but not all. There are American beers that are better than any but the finest German beers these days. However if you are Austrailian or English ( warm beer ? ) american beers are a step up i think :) Richard Monarchies, aristocracies, and religions....there was never a country where the majority of the people were in their secret hearts loyal to any of these institutions. Every beer I have ever tasted was pretty bad. I'm trying to keep an open mind though. If I ever get a chance I want to try some of that "fine" German beer.

Well, that's what I'm doing at the moment. ;P Is anyone else drinking? And what? Cheers, Simon "Sign up for a chance to be among the first to experience the wrath of the gods.", Microsoft's home page (24/06/2002)

There is just no accounting for taste. The French still think that they produce the best wines in the world but recently the California wines have been kicking butt in almost all the international competitions. Every country thinks that its [ fill in the blank ] beer is best. But unless you have a baseline to compare against how can you judge ? Some like lager, some like ales, some like stouts, some like dark , some like pale. I have made a comprehensive study of this subject and found that ( remember I am Americian ) German Lagers and dark beers are the best tasting around. Irish for stouts ( but its so expensive here ) some of the micro brewery stff for pale amd the Mexican stuff is pretty good also. Of course if you disagree send me you list and I will continue the study - its hard but someones gotta do it. I will make the sacrifice :) Richard Monarchies, aristocracies, and religions....there was never a country where the majority of the people were in their secret hearts loyal to any of these institutions. I'm currently making my way through a 70cl bottle of Smirnoff Ice (the European vodka drink, not that American flavoured-beer crap), and I have plans for a second. My mother is the one who's enjoying a night out tonight - she's gone clubbing with a group of her workmates. Did I mention she is 54? I hope I can still pull off night clubbing at that age! I would usually be drinking Coca Cola when I am at home, but for some reason since my holiday I haven't touched the stuff. I am hoping I have finally been able to kick the habbit, much to my teeth's delight. :-D Another distrubing trend I have adopted since my week in the sun, is to go around the house topless, but that story is best left for my closest friends... :wtf:

The great thing about it also is that you rarely get bad hangovers from drinking too much since it contains none of those hangover inducing colouring chemicals in it. The moment you mix though is fatal. I remember out in Tenerife a few weeks back, we had an organised pub crawl. I stuck to Smirnoff Ice all night (which I was charged up to €5 a bottle). The problem was, you had a free flavoured vodka shot on the way out, and also on the way into the next pub (we had to wear these naff t-shirts the whole night to show we had paid). For the next 5 pubs. I also had 2 extra vodka shots in the 2 pub. Flavoured vodka is the ultimate morning vomit inducer! Avoid. X| Simon "This is an equal opportunities airline. The pilot is blind." When I'm out I enjoy (sometimes I try really hard at least) the lager they keep in the kegs. When I purchase beer in the store, Heineken is my #1 favourite. But I've never mixed it with CP. Is it any good? :) FreeBSD is sexy. Getting closer and closer to actually submit an article...

Now I have to step in! I'm Dutch and so is Heineken, but I'm so sorry you (have to) drink Heineken... Grolsch is sooo much better (and that's not because I live in the town that brews this goldly fluid)... VictorV
