I've been in WA, OR, CA, NV, AZ, TX, FL, IL, OK and MA. Is Cape Cod in MA ? If not, I've been there, too.

I grew up in SC, lived in CA, GA, TX, OK, currently live in UT, and I've been to many states. Let's see, besides the ones I mentioned already, been to/through: NC, VA, WV, PA, NJ, OH, IN, IL, IA, SD, Nebraska, Kansas, WY, WA, ID, NV, AZ, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, FL, TN, Kentucky, CO, AR, MS, Montana, DC (if that counts), Maryland, DE. That leaves me New England, Oregon, North Dakota, WI and Michigan. But sadly I haven't been outside the US.

If we're counting landing in an airport while passing through to another destination, then I've been in every US State in the western half of the US save Hawaii, plus Iowa and Missouri. Short list: AK, WA, OR, CA, NV, ID, MT, UT, AZ, CO, NM, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, IA, MO

Imagine that you are hired to build a bridge over a river. The river gets slightly wider every day; sometimes it shrinks but nobody can predict when. Your contract says you can't use concrete or steel - the client only provides timber and cut stone (but won't tell you what kind). Gravity changes from hour to hour, as does the viscosity of air. Your only tools are a hacksaw, a chainsaw, a rubber mallet, and a length of rope. Welcome to my world. -Me explaining my job to an engineer

I haven't been in Washington Oragon Hawaii Alaska and I'm not sure about Vermont. I've driven through and stopped in all the others. I've been to a few countries in Europe and Asia. Still haven't hit Africa, Australia and South America yet.

I went to EndFest in Washington state a few years ago. Excellent live multi-band concert. I went to Utah for training on a PBX software system many years ago, yes right to Salt Lake City. It was a very interesting place. The only place I've ever seen in my life where people commonly wrote cheques for anything they bought including subs at subway restaurant. I went to New York state just over the border from Ontario for the hell of it once and played pool with drunken Americans in a dive bar and swilled a lot of Genessee cream ale. When we came back over the border the Canadian customs guy looked through the trunk of my car, opened my tool box and started asking all these questions about a valve cover gasket in the toolbox that was still wrapped in the original plastic and said "Canadian Tire" on it! That was hillarious and he was embarassed when I laughed about it and pointed out the Canadian Tire logo, I sure wouldn't laugh at the border these days.
