And goodbye to how much more of your hard-disk? reliability? Any ActiveX support yet? Shockwave, etc? Hard-disk space is cheap and I've got plenty of it... ;) Reliability you say... now let me think how many security updates did I have to install due to using IE... yeah! Shockwave and Flash is supported, no probs there! As far as ActiveX goes I'm allergic to it, IE or no IE... :) / L-G --- $> cd /pub $> more beer

Whats better, a software company continually releasing security updates or not? Just a question. ;)

I live quite happily without Java or ActiveXcrement enabled in IE. I also don't run any plug-ins. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends

Ray Hayes wrote: And goodbye to how much more of your hard-disk? Around 15mb for me, a heck of a lot less than when installing IE. Ray Hayes wrote: reliability? No problems here. You see Mozilla is not integrated into the OS, if it dies, only it dies, though I must admit, IE 6 is good in this respect as well. Ray Hayes wrote: Any ActiveX support yet? Shockwave, etc? Who needs it? 90% of the stuff that uses that crap is ads anyway. For those sites that absolutely require Flash etc, and I deem worthy of my time, I will use IE.

Based on my experience with these other Browsers, they suck and IE didn't cost me a penny.:)

Roger Wright wrote: A company that takes the time to do the job correctly before releasing the product I suppose you were never involved in a product release that required defect fixes and enhancements?
Actually, no. I was told by my first boss that the best products you will ever do will be the ones you never hear from again. So I did my best to write and build such products. I never had a call, though all my products were used for their full intended lifetime. Just lucky, I guess. Or thorough. "Knock, knock." "Who's there?" "Recursion." "Recursion who?" "Knock, knock..."
