One needs only two items to fix things. If it moves and it's not suppose to - use duct tape! If it does not move and suppose to - use WD40!

Oh, please. Anybody who's seen "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" knows that Windex is the new fix-all.

The nuclear product says; Polyken 226 also has superior tack and adheres tightly to many surfaces. It has multiple uses in power plants and ships. Somehow in my minds eye, I imagine the engineer on a carrier tapping a hole in the reactor vessel with this tape. Of course that would be ridiculous.:suss:

Ah, see... you don't remove it. When it starts to wear, you just put fresh duct tape over the top... :-\

I wonder what grade 200mph tape is. That's the stuff used by NASCAR.

You can use it to make corsets (tape over an old t-shirt). In a pinch it can be used in place of a bra but it is a bit painful to remove, it is best to tape over a cami.

For an article written with California on it, I can't believe they blundered when they equated "duct tape" with "gaffer tape". The two are most definitely different. Gaffer tape uses a less sticky/gooey adhesive and can be torn quite easily. Am I the only male who doesn't like duct tape? Cleaning off the goo when its removed is just too annoying.

IIRC the military version of 200MPH tape is metal backed instead of cloth/plastic.

That's not usually the male's complaint... Duct tape is one of the basic elements of the universe, and it's often our best defense against unrestrained entropy. :-D

No, Windex is only for injuries to people. That takes it up to three things we need: Duct tape to make things not move, WD-40 to make things move, Windex to fix the ways we hurt ourselves before we remembered to use the duct tape and WD-40.

WD-40 cleans the goo very handily - hence the need for wd-40

In my experience in pro sound and on stages, gaffers tape is not less sticky and gooey and in fact quite the opposite sticks better than duct tape. It is however designed to be easy to tear, to stick famously to just about anything and everything and yet - like the blue masking tape - not leave a lot of (hardly any) residue behind when removed.

That's what I meant by gooey. (I've used gaffer's tape many times as actual gaffer's tape--that and form core can be quite useful.)
