First, his name is "Bjarne Stroustrup" and not "Bjarne Stroustrups"... Hmmm, you are saying that all people with "non english" names should not be allowed anything  "Bjarne Stroustrup" is a just Danish name, but if you don't like languages invented by non-american/english guys, I suggest that you start programming Java or VB. Borland Pascal, Delphi and C# is also written by a danish guy (Anders Hejlsberg) :) - Anders (Another danish guy ;P)

One final conclusion: No English (Anglo) has ever done any good to humanity! Just bunch of holigans! Majority of the best master minds in programming are NON ENGLISH, PERIOD. Go figure Colin Yates (Davies)!

I'm not sure what Colin's original point was ( I assumed he added the 's' to Stroustrup on the basis of some word play that elluded me ), but even if his was a racist remark ( which I didn't believe to be the case ), surely this sort of remark only lowers the poster to the percieved level of the original ? I'm sure percentage wise there are as many hooligans in any part of the world you'd choose to examine, and I doubt Bjarne's intelligence or ability to design an enduring language have nothing to do with his Viking heritage and everything to do with the specifics of his genetic makeup, environment and application. I won't lower myself to listing Anglo-Saxon people who have acted to the good of humanity. Christian The content of this post is not necessarily the opinion of my yadda yadda yadda. English Black Black humour (nothing to do with race, but with taste) is difficult for even us native english speakers to understand. My Additional 's' in the name was purly a mistake ! The humour defies logic ! I'm sorry anyone found it offensive, But so be it I don't realy care. Regardz Colin Davies
