Damn, you forgot me in your list! I must be slacking in my AGW campaign. Jeremy was funny though. He was so miffed when he left the group.

My apologies. I could've sworn that I was a member prior to 9-11. I must've lurked for a while before joining in the fun. :-O I still stand by my assertion that the debate could be better instead of this countinued, and boriing obssession with zealots. (Is that a definition?)

When I think back, I remember seeing lively conversations about 9/11, but I didn't become a member until February 2004. Must have just lurked by one day back in 2001, on a fine google search for something else. Damn, I should have just signed up back then :-\

I don't think you could have gone to any english-speaking message board and not seen extremely 'lively conversations.'

I agree, that was such an event that it would warrant long lively discussions, and canstill do so even today.

Well, no offense, Jerry, but what have you posted lately to spark debate on other topics? Topics you could have posted on include: - homosexuality is good/bad - abortion is good/bad - monster truck rallies are good/bad - circumcision is good/bad - alternative medicine is good/bad - pornography is good/bad - Abuse directed towards Mr. "My life as a cough syrup drinking restaurant employee on food stamps is clearly awesomer than yours" Heinze - Abuse directed towards Mr. "Everyone is stupid/lying but me and my millions of invisible, silent fans so here's another article that belongs in my pretentious blog rather than a discussion forum" Ilion - Abuse directed towards Mr. "I'm a huge internet asshole and a sixteen year old found out my real name so I ran away" Espeir - Abuse directed towards Mr. "HAY YOU GUYS DISAGREE WITH ME ON THE INTERNET SO I'M LEAVING" Jeremy Falcon - Abuse directed towards Mr. "What do you mean my compiler isn't really english, it says it is right in the title BLAH BLAH BLAH WOOOORDS" Gerry Hammond, the Grand Nagus of the Osmosian Order, reverend and author of the Plain English CompilerTM - Abuse directed towards Mr. "Marxists! It was a choice, I didn't feel like going through the system. I don't really need food stamps since I work in a restaurant. I can't wait to eat a big plate of chicken over biscuits when I get into work today.

Yeah, i've tried 'em. I've even made all of them, with the exception of over-cooked greens. I still don't see the appeal. (And proper gravy is meat drippings w/ herbs, spices, and a bit of thickener, not bechamel w/ a bit of sausage and pepper... ;P )
