:omg: :wtf: I just had to fix my wife's computer. Oh..my...god. Windows XP is the biggest pain in the a** I've ever had to work with. I told her "you're getting a new computer". I don't have these problems with Vista. I can't wait.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

That was my thought. But you are one of the very, very, very few I've seen to say "no problems with Vista."

Let raise the numbers! :-D Are you ready? OK, one, two, three.... "No problem with Vista"! In fact I love it (Although I was was alway lucky to have more than 2GB of RAM on all my Vista PC, maybe it helped?), it looks so good! :-D And it works just as well as XP as far as I'm concerned. Although I cannot really make careful comparison as I am out of XP since more than 1 year now, and I never bothered look back nor felt the need for it.

Ahhh..here come the 1 votes. :) I agree with you to some degree but I wouldn't call XP the worst though I would never go back to it after having run Vista for over a year now day in an day out, but there are so many mindless irrational Vista haters around here that you're bound to get a pretty strong reaction to your post. Should be fun. ;)

No problems here, in fact there are quite a number of us that have learned how to use it and how and why it's different and supplied the correct hardware to run it and stated that we've had no major problems with it and even prefer it and appreciate it's improved performance and speed and utilization of the hardware over older, lesser operating systems; but we're drowned out by the irrational majority here.

Than XP? Wow people sure have short memories.

I remember very clearly that once I upgraded to XP I refused to get closed to 95/98/Me and stopped helping friend who had such OS. A stubborn friend kept having some random crashes with those for a long while, while I was happy with my XP!!!

I would add a fifth if I didn't occasionally battle to delete files, even files owned by admin, running as admin. So far, no other problems.

Raise it one more for me :D But good hardware is a requirement. Many peoples problems with vista comes from shoddy hardware and drivers (then again - so did many peoples problems with XP, 2K, 98 and 95 - ME was just messed up :D)

I really like Vista but I dont like Vista any more or less than I like XP. At first I hated it but then it was the same going from 2K to XP (got stuck in my ways - ended up not using the new start menu etc - and still dont ;P ) They both do the job for me and I am happy using them both. I think they are both great operating systems! :-D

Wow, I run 5 computers at home...all XP and I sure can't remember having any problems related to XP, but plenty relating to "wife" applications usage on 1 or 2. Nothing against Vista but if you're buying a new computer just for the Vista OS, I'll see if my computers can suddenly develope issues and maybe you could buy me a couple new laptops... :)
