... the sandass script, I mean. The more of you "family" asses install it, the better. If enough of you go for it, perhaps you'll take enough sand with you that the SoapBox can be dug out of the SandBox. On the other hand, I really don't expect a single one of the "family-guys" to stick with the script.

You're just running your own little one-man Gitmo for metaphors, aren't you?

hey i cannot stop others from reply'ing to my posts. i did not "join" anything. i was merely using the same level of sarcasm you seem to enjoy using when someone claims that they know everything. you still have me 1 voted for that compliment - i already said was intentional. this is not justice.

As it turns out, I had (as I said earlier, not intentionally). I know I had because when I looked at it (after first reading the above), there were 2 votes, with a "score" of 3. So I thought, "OK, I'll just vote it a 5, to balance it out" ... and the number of votes stayed at 2, but the "score" changed to 5. It's funny, really. Here MyBravePet, the Anonymouse, voted your post[^] a 5, not quite able to realize that you had leveled a compliment against me.

Fantastic poem that (very difficult standard to meet, of course, but wonderful aspirations).

You're not really paying attention, are you? The point had nothing to do with you making a "mean" comment. It had to do with you making a false accusation[^] ... and with a secondary implied assertion which is illogical and irrational, at that. The false accusation contained within your sneering comment is that Stan is an ignorant-know-nothing know-it-all. The illogical and irrational secondary implied assertion is that the opinion Stan expressed is invalid because it is "merely" an opinion (the quotes are around 'merely' because the idea of "mere opinion" as being in contrast to "fact" is a whole other level of irrationality). There may well be other layers of illogic and irrationality in that one little sneer, but I am trying, even now, to be charitable with you.

          jgasm wrote:

Let's see here: certain dishonest people continuously make false and/or dishonest assertions about me ... and *I've* developed a reputation? Amazing! The only truth in that "reputation" is that I am not nice. But, I never even once claimed to be nice, nor do I wish to be nice. I emphatically am not nice. And, after all, you have just excused yourself for not being nice. I trust you can excuse me too.

Oh dear, are you feeling left out? Is it like your childhood again? Well, I do hope you can endure more of these mental hardships, it is a trying time and you've been doing so well. You are still using group terminology to refer to everyone else though. 'They' are all after me... the 'family' is trying to get me... It's brave Ilion against the world. So near but so far.
