According to "Treehugger": "The small percentage (of lost mpg) between windows down or AC on is minuscule compared to the fact that you are in a car driving to the beach. Feel guilty about being in a car, not running the AC." I get the feeling these guys live real close to a beach.

Yea overrall it just seems to be another "this is how it really is" statement. the AC one struck me as odd though...i do not use AC in the car. I find it to be pointless. by the time it is "cool" in the car, i am where i need to be. however, i am not in a large urban area where i sit in traffic...so maybe that is why. note: there are bag pipes playing on campus today. i am going to go end some scotsmen. they have been at it all damn day.

Interesting. You may need a shot of freon. My airconditioning is cooling the car by the time I get out of my driveway, which is, admittedly 1/4 of a mile long.

That can prove problematic. Ask Julius Ceasar - or Edward II. Good Luck.
