What is your fix?

I know that most programmers have either a coffee or a cola fix. It seems that once you choose one you never use the other. I have to admit that my coding fuel is Coke (I drink about 6 cans a day).
Coffee - it's free at work, and I drink wayyy too much of the stuff. I also keep a 2 ltr bottle of orange squash around so if I'm thirsty I've an alternative. Andy Metcalfe - Sonardyne International Ltd

Well, to jump start me out of my foggy state in the morning, coffee coupled with a shot or two of espresso. Coffee during the day, espresso when available. Of course, at the end of the day I often need a drink or twelve to wind down so I can get my required 4 to 5 hours of sleep. And so, of course, I need some coffee & espresso to jump start me the next morning... (where's that recursion icon?) I prefer tea. Of course very few Americans drink tea so I don't even have stale dishwasher tea at work. I really don't understand why coffee is so favored. So what if it has more caffeine your body will just become more immune to the effects anyway. And it certainly doesn't taste good. My favorite tea is Assam it's really strong but doesn't make me jittery like coffee does. I think that black teas from India are the best.
I've heard it said that tea can have more caffeine, abut its absorbed slower for some reason or another. I suppose coffee can be quite addictive in the sense of the quick caffiene fix. I remember at Uni, there where two Italian guys who where good friends. It was really funny watching them in the morning before breakfast as they needed a mug of expresso in the morning to get going. Yes - a mug!!!! That much would kill the average person in five minutes flat. Yep, Assam is pretty good. I'm a stong over weak tea person, and don't go in for these herbal things - except a Camomile tea beofre bed - sleepy tea - knocks you out.
