Okay - it's an interesting idea, but I can't really see it replacing Google when I want to do a search. It's easy enough for me to put C# or .NET at the end of a query.

I ditto that. Doesn't really speed up or make my searches anymore efficient. Nice idea though.

I tried searching for “Reflection” on Google and then again on this site. The results were quite different. On Google the only somewhat relevant result came up on Page 7 and then nothing till page 10. On this site the first result was just what I wanted. Take Google results filter it by context and then further limit the results to quality sites and forums, get rid of sites which pop-ups etc. We usually do this manually several times a day, now it is being done by the site.

"Reflection" means different things depending on the context. Google will use broad search. Try appending specific words such as C# or .NET and compare the results. Even better, since someone mentioned it uses google underneath, figure out the exact search string and compare them ;P

Yes it would be interesting idea if it was fully-blown vertical search engine, like Vast but for .NET and possibly other platforms and technologies... :rolleyes:

After poking around that site, they seem to have at least two other "search engines". As far as I can tell this is one guy, trying to get a few bucks in adsense. Helpwithdotnet.com is registered anonymously, but the other two, searchprivateequity.com and searchnanotech.net, have the same whois info:
