Lately I've been getting up at 11 PM or midnight and staying awake until some time in the afternoon. Two AM is my favourite time of day and I do work for a company in a timezone 3 hours ahead so this actually works out well. If I decide to bike to work or something similarly ambitious, I wake up at 6:30. Otherwise, I typically wake up at 7 or 7:30. If I had a really late hockey game the night before, then I roll out of bed around 8. I'm on flex-time, but I like to come in early so i can actually get some work done before everyone else comes in and starts bugging me. :-D Even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat.

My morning goes roughly like this 7.30 am - first alarm rings (on my psion - it's a nice fanfare sound) - the message to this alarm reads "good morning" (not that I'm ever capable of reading it at that time) 7.31 am - stumble out of bed, find psion, hit spacebar about 6 times (space gives a 5 minute snooze) 8.00 am - alarm rings again (fanfare again) 8.01 am - stumble out of bed again and either 1) if feeling awake, go have shower, get dressed then check email and stuff like that 2) if still feeling asleep, set lots more snooze 8.35 am - second alarm rings (rooster sound) - this is my "if you're not awake now, and ready to go, you'll be late for work again" alarm (the message reads something similar, but less family friendly) Now if I'd had a shower, I'll leave, and drive to work (only takes about 15 minutes thankfully) Otherwise 8.36 am - stumble out of bed, turn off alarm, grab the first vaguely clean looking clothes that come to hand, find keys, and drive to work -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!
