I'm looking for something that's essentially the reverse of DVDDecrypter[^]. I've got a bunch of AVIs and Mpegs of my young son and other family videos on my computer that I'd like to burn onto DVD in a DVD player readable format so that it can be distributed amongst the family with ease. Any suggestions?

I formatted my computer not too long ago and for the life of me I can't find my Nero CD! So I've been using ImageBurn until I do find it, but ImageBurn won't convert formats.

Doesn't Windows Movie Maker from Windows XP (or Windows DVD Maker, included in Vista) fit your needs? When I used it the last time, I wasn't about to create a DVD, but cutting some home-made movies was easy with it.

I *highly* recommend FAVC it's completely free, very powerful and it's a GUI front end over a bunch of powerful freeware dvd related utilities: http://favcfavc.googlepages.com/[^] It's UI leaves a lot to be desired but the good part is that it comes with everything you need or links to them, it's free and there's really nothing it can't do dvd wise. I have Nero Vision and that works adequately for most stuff but it's limited in the types of files it can burn and it's much slower and clunkier than FAVC and it was pricey IIRC when I bought it after much confusion looking at the freeware utilities and not knowing about FAVC at the time.
