Sorry – it should be a "Wing Commander". My lousy English is the reason for these literal Bulgarian-English translations in my mind.

Night Of The Living Dead. (Tops Invasion of the Body Snatchers) :) Day of the Triffids. (The book is awesome, but the hatchet scene in the movie was stupendous, considering it was made in 1962.)

It's Milla Jovovich. I haven't seen that movie, but imdb says it's complete crap.

Aliens (the best sci-fi movie ever made, ever!) Dark Star (classic lines, theme song and the character names, plus who hasn't wanted to surf into earth's atmosphere?)

Same here. Should just have all 6 Star Wars count as one and do a SW Marathon :)

Alien Aliens Blade Runner Donnie Darko Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Star Wars IV Star Wars V Terminator Terminator 2 The Matrix I really liked The 5th Element and Serenity, but I don't think they're (quite) up there. If you include Anime/Manga, add Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell, Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle. Also read good things about WALL-E (and a friend of mine is a colour specialist at Pixar and worked on the movie...so I really should go see it when it *eventually* reaches Australia:) Close encounters of the third kinds also gets an honourable mention...just for that sound-bite that has stuck in my head for 25+ years. And I finally got around to watching Metropolis last month, was pleasantly surprised at how just good it was!

I wouldn't hold my breath - We didn't have wide-screen (or color) back then. But it's a classic that deserves to be preserved.

Alan Rickman is hillarious whatever role he plays. His performance in Dogma ("Did you have to use a whole can?") was something else, though.
