He's from Spain, and whining that Spain's team lost to the US team in the gold medal game. US fans could whine about several flagrant fouls by Spain that were ignored by the officals late in the game. They won't bother because the US won. Whining about the officiating is always the loser's lament.

No reason for whining, if you ask me. Spain played a great game and Olympic silver is not exactly what I would call a failure.

Does anybody know why is the USA basketball team exempt from the FIBA rules? The refs overlooked that for USA the whole tournament. Maybe rules (and doping controls) should be the same for everyone.

"Does anybody know why is the USA basketball team exempt from the FIBA rules" How about being more specific as to what rule(s) you're asking about??? BTW, silver isn't to shabby, still a loser, but not shabby.

It's funny how they did steps 20 times during the match and the refs didn't do anything. This is FIBA rules yanks, if you play with NBA rules, please put your 3-points line at 7 meters. Doping controls are also specific for the NBA freaks in the Olympic Games. A shame for fair play. Refferees permiting, next time the result might be different. BTW, we are still world champions ;P

Just like how the refs did nothing when the whole Spanish bench got off their bench to whine at the refs after each and every play? Ok, fine, they got 1 techincal out of it, but there's enough violations to call ten of them.

The game is ruled by "ref's" who can cheat or be biased towards one team over another. I don't watch Basketball, hate it personally, but if they didn't call it, it didn't happen. If you think the ref's were letting the US cheat, oh well, what you going to do but whine and cry and at the end of the day, US won gold and the game. Who cares really? The world champs (current) got beat, so what? And what's up with the doping comments? Where are you getting that? You act like these guys from the US are all doping, HELLO!!! It's a problem for all countries, even yours, but it's not occuring with all athletes. Point is your team lost...LOST!!! As in LOSERS!!!! Sorry your country has nothing else to cheer about but basketball, maybe try to get better at other sports...ping pong is something you guys might look in to.

Nah. Olympic cheese making is more their speed. They've already got the whine down pat.

Bah. A silver medal only means that you lost the most important game.

Rythmic implies coordination, doubt they could be any good at that then...maybe chain smoking, eating cheese and a healthy portion of "Whine" could become a Olympic sport? They seem to have that down pat.
