Sorry Pete, KK has left the Building!

I know. You don't want to hear the language I've been using about Ashley. If he's so concerned about the club, why is Wise in London? Why isn't he based up here? Why have a different manager anyway?

KK joins - HIGH Wise joins - LOW Barton jailed - LOW barton allowed to keep playing for them - LOW ashley seen downing a pint of lager - LOW no great signing in the transfer window - LOW The club is a joke, rubbish setup and fans who think they are a bigger club then they currently are. Ask a toon fan what one of the best games newcastle ever played was and they would say the 4-3 loss to liverpool 10 years ago. A LOSS!! :)

To be Fair, the greatest game of football I ever saw was Luton losing 5-3 to Liverpool in the Cup a few years ago. We were winning for most of the game and run out of steam, but Liverpool were nearly 60 places above us at the time, so it was not shameful for a little club like Luton to lose, and the manner of the game was excellent! :)

Reading 2-3 Manchester United in February 2007. OK, I watched that one on TV, but letting Man U get three goals in under ten minutes then somehow getting back into the match and nearly bring it back to extra time was pretty amazing. Others have said Reading 3-2 Crystal Palace in 2005/6 but I admit to not having seen that match. Of course to us Luton 1-4 Reading at Wembley in 1988, to lift the Simod Cup, actually means something ;-P At the time, I wasn't a football fan, but it means there's something in our (small) trophy case. There are replicas of all the lower-division trophies, of course, since we've won them all once (if you count Third Division South as different from Division 3). (The Supporters' Trust used the 'trophy room', which is really a bar with the trophy cabinet in the corner, for the 'sending out renewal forms' working party.) We weren't allowed to defend the title as we got relegated that season and the competition was only for 'full members', i.e. the top two divisions.

Yup - it was a brilliant match. Ask them what the best was though, and we'll all say 5-0. Mind you, I see that you're a Spud so I can't expect you to know what a good football match is, and it looks as though Keegan is still with the club, premature press reports aside. I assume you're looking forward to facing us in the cup then.

Yeah, a very confusing day regarding newcastle yesterday. As a spud games like: Beating Chelses 2-1 in carling cup final Beating Arsenal 5-1 in the semi final 2nd leg Beating westham 4-3 at upton park. Yeah I think we've got a reasonable chance against you, you are at home though so thats an advantage.

It should be an entertaining match. Are you coming up?

No not coming up, I live in cornwall (my dad is from Totenham in london hence why I support them!) Its a bit too far to travel. Hopefully it will be televised. Have you got a season ticket?

Yup. If you were coming up, I'd have met you for a couple of none-partisan drinks beforehand.
