I'm posting this from Google chrome. How excitement. All I can think, though, is 'Yet Another Browser to Support' CodeProject looks crap in Chrome. :sigh:

There are some minor issues. But it seems lot like Safari's rendering (no surprises there) except for fonts.

You mean they removed the one good thing about Safari?

Looks OK to me. Couple of niggles, but I've seen it render worse in Firefox on a PC with large fonts to be honest.

No it doesn't, not to me. I don't see any differences (oh wait, just scrolled down, and the smileys are hosed. hehe) And I love the orangy thing around the input box and the automatic spell checking, and it seems fast. And I like the simple look. Marc

OK, I'm trying it out now. Well - the smileys are hosed, and CPhog is a none-starter here. Not too keen on the default fonts either plus the menus aren't exactly intuitive. OK - 4 tabs open and I've now got 7 Chrome instances running - it is fast though. It just feels snappier than FF.

as of this spring, dev versions of safari hit 100, opera 99 (failing only on the speed/smoothness part); then the FF team reported a new bug in the acid3 test itself. wikipedia hasn't been updated since...

I can't really see anything wrong with the smileys other than they seem smaller than usual. Its interesting to note that there's a firebug like inspector built in. Investigating.

Google chrome is not accessible in my country. I'm sending this from chrome either. Is it just me or FireBugs is installed on this thing for anyone? Inspect element is shown on menu right click here?

I like the memory manager. The interesting thing is that if you look at the mem manager and you are in something like google reader and you click a link within it, it opens a new tab. Looking at the usage that tab still belongs to the previous tabs memory space. If this is an issue, right click the link and select open tab. Dont know if this is supposed to happen or if this is a bug. Also, in the memory manager is a cool little link on the bottom left that says something like "Stats for nerds". Click this and it takes you to a tab that lists the memory usage of browsers you currently have open. Pretty interesting overall. My 2cents worth.
