I hated listening to Palin call out someone with twice her years of experience. maybe it's because obama did not do nightly news... [edit] fun new title ;P [/edit]

Experience at what? Sitting on a board in Chicago with Ayers? Running for President? What has the guy actually ever really accomplished. He is very good at speaking but has he ever really taken any kind of a stand for anything? Why would a politician who wants to make a difference vote present instead of yes or no while they were in the State Senate. The guy is a facade, when you look behind him there is nothing there....

Most normal people write their memoir after a long and distinguished career. Obama has written two and he is still a junior Senator who has done nothing of significance.
so her beef with the competition is obama is an over-zealous author with twice her years of experience and more than double her education? tragic. truly.

well you can be just as sarcastic as Palin. now that is just plain funny. maybe you should be president.

Yes, you go girl... As a liberal, I hope she keeps talking exactly like that. It works very well inside a Republican convention. Outside of it she would have to deal with reality. And reality has a well-known liberal bias. The best Democratics can possibly want is that Republicans keep talking only to their own converted crowd.

US elections say otherwise. Unless you're counting all the communists in Asia, then we're beyond the scope of a US election.

Maybe she is saying that his time would have been better spent doing something now to write about later, than to spend his time writing now.

maybe so. so in order to build herself up? she needs to tare obama down. maybe she should just mention all the "somethings" she has been doing instead.

From Palin speech speaking of Obama: "But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs, but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate." You go girl....

So I assume she's in support of experience as a requirement of being the President/VP of United States. I assume she'll support Ron Paul then.

i guess i am just confused then. so since obama has done nothing...it's okay to point that out. but i have not heard yet what Palin has done that is any better...or substitantive. it's the tired old "obama" is not qualified argument that has been going since this campaign started.

Not in the States. There is certainly an anti-Republican bias going around, based on the ineptness of the present administration to find the floor with it's collective hat. And that may be enough to get Obama into office. But, except for BosWash and LosFranSeatle the US remains pretty much center-right. The liberals in those states cannot decide this election any more than the conservatives of the Confederacy can. The more the Republicans can brand Obama as the liberal-est of the liberals, the less likely he is to carry states like Pennsylvania and Ohio. These are the Reagan democrats; the union-workers; the VFW crowd. They are used to voting for Republicans and many of them have done so all their lives. They are pissed, with good reason, at what the Republicans did to this country in the last eight years, but if McCain can give them a reason to reject Obama - such as "he's a tax-and-spend liberal," They may, with a certain amount of trepidation, decide to come home one more time.
