maybe so. so in order to build herself up? she needs to tare obama down. maybe she should just mention all the "somethings" she has been doing instead.

So I assume she's in support of experience as a requirement of being the President/VP of United States. I assume she'll support Ron Paul then.

i guess i am just confused then. so since obama has done nothing...it's okay to point that out. but i have not heard yet what Palin has done that is any better...or substitantive. it's the tired old "obama" is not qualified argument that has been going since this campaign started.

Yes, you go girl... As a liberal, I hope she keeps talking exactly like that. It works very well inside a Republican convention. Outside of it she would have to deal with reality. And reality has a well-known liberal bias. The best Democratics can possibly want is that Republicans keep talking only to their own converted crowd.

Not in the States. There is certainly an anti-Republican bias going around, based on the ineptness of the present administration to find the floor with it's collective hat. And that may be enough to get Obama into office. But, except for BosWash and LosFranSeatle the US remains pretty much center-right. The liberals in those states cannot decide this election any more than the conservatives of the Confederacy can. The more the Republicans can brand Obama as the liberal-est of the liberals, the less likely he is to carry states like Pennsylvania and Ohio. These are the Reagan democrats; the union-workers; the VFW crowd. They are used to voting for Republicans and many of them have done so all their lives. They are pissed, with good reason, at what the Republicans did to this country in the last eight years, but if McCain can give them a reason to reject Obama - such as "he's a tax-and-spend liberal," They may, with a certain amount of trepidation, decide to come home one more time.

What worries me is just how much of a tax and spend guy is Mccain... His health care plans (tax credits for those not employer covered) would be paid for by taxing the benefits I receive as employer paid health insurance. That's clearly tax and spend from my point of view, and I'm the middle class goat that gets taxed. I find that sneaky, and little different from Obama's more direct tax and provide an insurance pool. In fact, with McCain's plan, the saps that get the tax credit might not have to spend it on anything sensible, much less health insurance....

But there's no need to worry about McCain's plans. Both houses of Congress are going to be Democratic. What he can do is veto the worst of their plans. Think about this - Hilary may decide she wants to replace Reid, if Obama gets in.

I never heard Ron Paul spewing 9/11 conspiracy, though I did hear some senile old man doing a bad kareoke of Bomb Iran...

Mayor of her hometown and governor of her state. But let's get back to your boy. What has he actually accomplished? Remember I actually live in Illinois so I know that he was a second tier state politician operating under the radar within Chicago's Democratic machine before weaseling his way into the US Senate. I can also add that since starting his campaign he has been almost completely absent from the Senate. I want my freaking money back!!!

But there's no need to worry about McCain's plans. Both houses of Congress are going to be Democratic. What he can do is veto the worst of their plans. Think about this - Hilary may decide she wants to replace Reid, if Obama gets in.

True enough. It's the compromises he would accept that are worrisome.

Actually, if we are to have universal Health care forced down our throats (and I believe we are), I'd prefer Hilary's version to both the others. Reid's a raving idiot and a closet Maoist, at least Hilary has some sense, and I think is a bit more to the center than Reid. More dangerous as an opponent, but in the majority might bring a semblance of sanity to that bunch.
