Crash is the slang word for when a program fails. Sometimes use dump...

"The clue train passed his station without stopping." - John Simmons / outlaw programmer "Real programmers just throw a bunch of 1s and 0s at the computer to see what sticks" - Pete O'Hanlon "Not only do you continue to babble nonsense, you can't even correctly remember the nonsense you babbled just minutes ago." - Rob Graham

Crash is such a bad word. In our ISO 9001 managed company our boss looks that we never say 'crashed'. We have to say/write 'shows unexpected behavior'. In a .net training course with a external trainer we learned that the real prof expression for this is 'abgegurkt' (=gherkined, maybe nobody understands this german to english translation.)

Well, its not those words precisely, but I was trying to keep it as kid sister friendly as possibly. The expletive used is f****ed, plain and simple.

Nothing - our applications don't crash. ;P They merely have unplanned stopoffs on the way to wellbeing.
