As usual, all the people claiming that the world is going to end are early, according to the fountain of knowledge[^] today was only the first attempt to circulate a single beam. Actual high energy collisions aren't due until after October 21st. If the world is going to end, it won't be today.

                              There was a $2 million grant to examine how flies land on the ceiling. With high-speed cameras, they found out they fly normal up to it, grab on with front 2 legs, and their speed flips the arse over until the back feet grab. Wasn't that worth $2 million?
