Travel + Leisure Magazine has just published their poll on American cities. Los Angeles was voted worst in public transportation, worst in public safety, worst in traffic, with the least friendly and least intelligent people. Hopefully, people reading this poll will stay away, and the traffic will improve. :) Read more here: http://www.travelandleisure.com/afc/2008/city/los-angeles [^]

    Best wishes, Hans

I don't know about worst in public safety, but the rest of them - yeah, pretty much :)

Non-Americans who have never been here & think Hollywood TV & movies are a good indication about reality in the US need to keep these things in mind. :)

But at least they're not the fattest or unhealthiest city. That belongs to Philadelphia (should we be proud of that?)

HAha. I grew up in the LA area (Pasadena/Arcadia) and it was like that 30 years ago. I left when I was 20, hate going back. If the CERN project does create a black hole, LA would be my first choice to get swallowed up.
