I don't mind visiting the heat, it's the living in it where it doesn't go below 80F with 80% humidity for 4 months in a row that I mind. Judy OK, that's a slight exaggeration ... but only slight

I know. I spent a year in Orlando one week in August many years ago.

You and I should switch places. I would rather sweat than freeze. I hate the cold weather with a passion, and I've been dreaming of moving to Florida.

The Orlando area is just about the hottest in Florida. You'd like it!! Farther south is not as bad because there is a much more significant breeze and cooling effect from the ocean and gulf. Judy

All those interested will note that I am now JudyL_MD instead of JudyL_FL. I have (mostly) completed my move from sweltering Florida to crisp fall Maryland. Aaaahhhhh. Much better. Judy I hate the heat in case you can't tell :-D

I lived in this area for 10 years before the 2-year sojourn to Orlando. I like snow. I'll be having fun in January!! Although, watching out for the DC idiots who have no concept of how to drive in snow is always ... interesting and good for developing my non-kid-sister-safe vocabulary.

Then you'll do OK. I'm the opposite I love the heat and hate the snow. Of course I grew up in Arizona and have lived here in FL for 22 years so I guess I'm used to it. Good luck in your new job, home? Mike

Clothing optional. Bathing suit preferred. Yeah, that'd be cool. :-O

On the other pole entirely, I'm known at work for not wearing a coat to walk from my car to the lobby when in heavy snowfalls or -40 windchills. Around my apartment I'm known for shoveling snow in shorts and a tshirt.

Good plan, FL will be underwater mostly before too long the way things are going. Why don't you change you handle to JudyL_Earth then you should be covered for a while. ;)

Not planning on moving again now that the husband has retired from the service, so MD should do just fine. The idea is to stay put for a looooong time.
