What do you have It's too hard to type in the dark. I'm thinking about the Luxeed Dynamic Pixel or the Saitek Eclipse II.

Think about that next time you're illegally downloading music; you're not only killing Metallica, you're killing forests and bald eagles and crap. And Smokey Bear's band. - Jake Vinson, of Daily WTF fame

Not a recomendation, never used it, but Microsoft has just come out with a new backlit keyboard. SideWinder X6 Keyboard[^] The guy on DLTV liked it because it had a brightness adjustment for the backlight. His claim was that other backlit keyboards can be too bright.

The luxeed looks great in a geeky way - but not sure how practical it is - and the num keypad is not only extra cash, but also not lit! Also the fancy animations etc don't work outside of MSoft OS. The Saitek looks more like a decent keyboard to me - less gadgety. What you really want is a Optimus Maximus Keyboard see http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/9836/?cpg=ab[^] with a separate LCD on each key!

I've been a touch typist since I took the course in high school but it always fails when it comes to any non alphanumeric keys.

I can personally recommend the Saitek Elipse, used one for the last 3 years. Great keyboard. Great price.

To expensive, but I might take in to account. Also, regarding the mini, how am I supposed to type with 3 keys?

I have the Saitek, it's a firm membrane keyboard. The backlighting is somewhat uneven, presumably because there aren't enough LEDs used underneath.

Wow. As I have said before I type based on saying the words in my head so this is kind of par for the course. Clothes does sort of sound like closed. The sad part is that I am a native English speaker.
