Something different (for the photographers among us)...
-
When I'm not s/w engineering I'm usually futzing around with my photography hobby. Recently, on a photography forum I frequent, I saw a link to a cool online test of a person's ability to discriminate among different color tones --> right here[^] I scored 20 on the test which is actually not great compared to some of the other photographers on that forum (who scored 0 - the best result). In my defense, I am a bit older than them and I took the test on an uncalibrated work monitor. If you decide to take the test, have fun. Maybe there's a photographer in some of you out there that didn't realize you had it in you!

Repost. We already debated that this is strongly dependent on your monitor settings and ability, not only on yours. Some people managed to score 0, though.

Oops! Thanks for letting me know about this already coming up - I was not aware of that. But, even reposts can be useful for those that missed it on the first go round... You are quite right about the dependency on specific monitor and/or individual. The monitor issue is a reason why photographers almost always use monitors that they keep calibrated using various available products. Otherwise, the images they post might look right on the OP's monitor but different to every other viewer of the images.
