I see old Jim is there on the CP Lounge page, he is the only name I recognise, these old timers eh? :)

There are more people, but Jim was probably lucky enough to have made a post when the archiving bot crawled the page. :)

So, from the old Google cache, this is how the CP Homepage looked like: CodeProject[^] And this is how the Lounge looked like: CP Lounge[^]

Gotta love the Lounge preview on the homepage, note "C# dead on arrival". I'd love to read that post, but it's not available. :)

You may have seen where google brought back its 2001 index, you can find it here: http://www.google.com/search2001.html[^] I tried searching for some recent buzz words to see what came back: ajax - The 2nd result brings back a page which is "Lynx enhanced", pretty impressive for Lynx web services - the first result is the NASA homepage, the 6th result brings up microsoft page about web services blog - the 2nd result shows that Blogger got a new server in 2001 social networking - nothing of interest really cloud computing - brings back Cloud City Computing, maybe Dell could trademark it! ;P

That's RocketDock. :) It is a cool little tool, I'll recommend that you try it. You may see the applications that are active have a little black arrow above it (FF, Visual studio and bluetooth were active when I took the screenshot).

Looks like Mac OS X's Dock, that's why it caught my eye. I'm going to try it, thanks!

There are a dozen such docks available for Windows. But this uses alpha blending, the animation is fast and smooth, doesn't hog the memory, can be an excellent quicklaunch tool, etc., I have my taskbar hidden with frequently used tools grouped in the dock. :)
