Thanks Dave, As you can tell I'm more than a little new to writing cryptic clues. So taking a clue from your moniker lets exterminate them: Our leaders badness to madness I'm not sure whether to give out any more clues - I've tried to ensure that the clues themselves aren't too cryptic although the word itself is not in common use (although I believe it should be).
