Hmm, It looks both small and simple compared with the last time I was in a 747 cockpit. A lot more window area which is nice but the seating looks a bit cramped. Maybe its just the 360 viewer. Obviously less read-outs are needed these days with large screens. I guess automation is maybe making things easier aswell. I wonder how much redundancy they have in their systems?

Sweet. I'd love to learn to fly. I've flown a small 4 seater with a friend who has a pilots license, but there's no way I could afford proper lessons.

'tis fun an expensive, took the plunge and learned 6 years ago. Of course it costs about half what it does in the UK here.

I wonder what this button does............... Oh Sh*t....Sorry everyone :(

I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

When you have rowdy passengers just lower the cabin pressure to raise the relative altitude.

I have to admit, that was one of my first thoughts too - all this super-smart looking technology, clean and tidy, and then seats that look they've been dragged out of a squat, and as though the springs are about to start poking though... Anyway, I reckon the whiole thing's a fake - I mean, where's the steering wheel, huh? I smell a conspiracy! ;)

It could be half of a static line parachute escape system they're keeping quiet about to avoid outraging the proles.

Aircraft are flown on FMSs (Flight Management Systems) nowadays, basically a sophisticated autopilot, so generally only on takeoff and just before landing , two hundred feet above the runway, would you be in direct control of the aircraft. I wonder what cabin noise levels are like? I like the HUD system.
