I used to be pro at cleaning the lint off my old mouse balls. But what happens when a single left click results multiple left clicks? Is the button sticking? This MS mouse is still new. It hasn't even turned yellow yet.

Kinda off topic, but I have a problem with my mouse sometimes just running north west across the screen... it does this randomly.

Means your mouse has poor tracking. Even when your mouse is not moving the sensor is still working, sending images up to process. If the sensor has trouble scanning mouse pad surface or of the mouse has trouble processing those images, it may think the mouse is moving when it's really not. Cleaning the sensor of the lint or getting a new mouse pad which is easier for the laser to scan should solve the problem.

At first, I thought this wasn't going to be "kid-sister friendly". :)

If you don't want to purchase a new mouse just yet...you might also consider paying attention to the mouse cord orientation as well (assuming this isn't wireless). I have this problem with several "laser mice" that I use where the cord actually puts enough force on it to move the mouse to a natural resting point. And if it is wireless, you might try a different bluetooth/receptor adapter. I run into what can be best described as "bluetooth interference" (not really interference) all the time with bluetooth mice where swapping out to a different bluetooth dongle resolves it 90% of the time...

And cleaning em regularly doesn't seem to matter. They still turn yeller.

It's not a problem, It's a feature. :) Read aloud what's written on that mouse. I bet it starts with 'M' and has a $ in the middle, right? Now go and buy a logitech.

Sorry. I just had trouble getting past the phrase "old mouse balls." Poor mouse.

It's usually from exposure to ultraviolet light. The coloring agents used in a lot of plastics degrade from exposure to sunlight, which results in the yellowing.
