As a supporter of England, I take delight and pleasure at the Victory of our Subcontinental (interesting word, all five vowels in reverse order!) Colony beating our Antipodean Colony. (No, don't start a war on this! :) ) I only support two Teams. England and anyone who is playing Australia! Well Done India.

I thought this one would be special. Its largest victory margin ever. England scored over 900 runs in one inning and Australia couldnt score even 250 in both innings.

Australia succumbed to only a second Test defeat since the 2005 Ashes as India took just 18.4 overs on the final day to win the second Test by 320 runs. Luck is in favour for India for the captainship of M S Dhoni.

One of the best 'Batting' games I ever saw. Also the highest win for a team batting second. Who would have thought SA would have won it after the Ozzie Innings? :)

Unforgettable match. I missed most of the Aussie innings but saw the entire SA innings. You could hear people all over the city celebrating after Boucher realized the ball was heading to the boundary. It was like the whole country erupted. Best cricket match ever.

I don't think it was luck. Dhoni displayed some very intelligent captaincy, and our bowlers did a great job.

Rajesh, With all due respect, the tone of your post was totally uncalled for. People post about their favorite teams winning all the time on the Lounge (sometimes it's some club team they support). I understand your annoyance with some of his link-less news posts, but to attack a normal post based on who posted it is unprofessional and unworthy of you. I am honestly surprised at the increasing levels of intolerance that's seen among some of the CP regulars these days. I hope everyone's not like this in real life too. :~

Rajesh, With all due respect, the tone of your post was totally uncalled for. People post about their favorite teams winning all the time on the Lounge (sometimes it's some club team they support). I understand your annoyance with some of his link-less news posts, but to attack a normal post based on who posted it is unprofessional and unworthy of you. I am honestly surprised at the increasing levels of intolerance that's seen among some of the CP regulars these days. I hope everyone's not like this in real life too. :~

Yes, I am targeting one person publicly, as I really really wish he would give the credits where it is due[^]. There having said that, I don't have to tell you how long have people been telling him not to plagiarise, not to post news without providing citations, etc., I don't know if I can directly relate his behavior in the programming forums to him not providing citations in the Lounge as well, but the other post (there are several such plagiarist posts he has done in the programming forums) had pissed me off enough. I mean - come on, any reasonably sane person should have understood it by now. I was a little rude back in this thread, my apologies to everyone for the rude behavior, but he had upset me enough.

Yep, I am aware of Satips' behavior in the programming forums. But I just didn't think a normal post he made in the Lounge should have got treated the same way. Btw aren't you guys located in or around Chennai (as in you and Satips). Perhaps Vikram and you should go meet him and talk to him. I am sure it will be an interesting experience for all 3 of you :-)

I don't watch cricket, so I'll expect that he provides me a link to what he is talking about. I know it is not the case with you, as you watch the sport. :) No, me not at Chennai. I split the time between Mumbai and Bangalore. We tried to rope in satips to the CP get-together we arranged at Chennai, but he didn't turn up. Perhaps he knew that I had a flamethrower. :laugh:

...like a bunch of mincing poofs didn't hurt either. In fact I've just been called up to replace Hayden. As an old opening bowler that only reached top level park cricket and who batted right handed rising all the way to No. 10 when in 1st grade I'm the perfect choice. I have been handicapped though, 1 bottle of Bundy OP every drinks break and I have to bat left handed holding the bat upside down so as not to out shine Hayden too much.
