I remember when I thought a T1 was fast ;) http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10073404-2.html[^] Now a catch, reidential plans still cap monthly bandwidth at 250GB. Kind of like riding a rocket but only giving it 50 gallons of fuel, don't try to make anything usable out of it :)

Which is, of course over 8GB per day. What are you downloading that that limit becomes a problem?

Why would you get a 50mb uplink and only 10 down? Did you mean 50/100 or 5/10 maybe?

""Premium," which comes in at 22/5 Mbps up/down for $99.95 a month," 22 up, but only 5 down? Did they get this the wrong way around or am I used to a different meaning of "up" and "down"?

                cheers, Chris Maunder

Well, if you are in Australia, your up is actually our down, and vice versa.

Imagine that you are hired to build a bridge over a river which gets slightly wider every day; sometimes it shrinks but nobody can predict when. Your client provides no concrete or steel, only timber and cut stone (but they won't tell you what kind). The coefficient of gravity changes randomly from hour to hour, as does the viscosity of air. Your only tools are a hacksaw, a chainsaw, a rubber mallet, and a length of rope. Welcome to my world. -Me explaining my job to an engineer

Meh, as I mentioned last week we've got an 88Mbps connection here[^]. Well it was downloading at 11MB/s so that works out at about that apparently...
