It's snowing...

Just flurries, nothing serious. But kind of early for this in Pittsburgh (well actually 3 miles from the main runway of the airport - the city is 18 miles east of here). [EDIT]Now it is a real snow storm. If the ground was a little colder it would not melt. It's starting to accumulate on cars though..[/EDIT]

Yeah, tell me about it. I picked yesterday to go to a popular theme park with my nephews. Lets just say it was a tad cold and very wet. (On the upside, it turned out to be not-so-popular because of the weather, so we got to go on lots more rides :-D )

I had about an inch on my car this morning out in Johnstown, coworkers in higher elevations had as much as 3" on theirs.

It's down to about 90F (32C ?) here right now. Winter is when it gets down to 20C at night. Enjoy the snow -- better you than me!

32 sounds pretty accurate, 32F that is. :laugh: I am not ready for this weather. An hour ago I debated weather or not to risk going out into that for lunch or just microwave something.

I love talking to our home office in Houston in the winter. I'll ask how the weather is and they'll say something like "Oh, about 40 degrees." I'll say, "Yeah, it's about the same here." There'll usually be a pause, then the comment "No, 40 degrees F", to which I reply "I'm sorry."

I guess we'll each have to be happy where we are! The last time I saw something somewhat similar to winter was about 5 years ago when it was drizzling rain and 35 F in Houston. I stayed indoors with the heater on for 5 days and told everyone they were welcome to come visit, but there's no way I was venturing outdoors until it warmed up. My blood's just too thin after so many years in the tropics. 40C is no big deal, just another ordinary day. 40F -- forget it! :-D

Today with the two guys in the department we have gone to eat at the restaurant... we have gone there under the rain, but when we left it was snowing and the car was [edit]completely covered[/edit] of snow... and the trip back to the company has been incredible... X|
