The problem: Owner of our firm, thinks that we are overpaid for our work or with his words; "Your payment is normal, for the job you do", so i decided to put some words on this board. Please be so nice and write few words what do you think about our salary, so i can show it to him :D The overview of our work: 3 man crew, working on 2 projects, first is personal managment system with data analyzing and the second is attendence with Z80 programable terminal (or network of them) with our software (result is balance of hours with analyses) comunicating over network,... All together 213.309 lines of C++ MFC code Both programs are working either on Oraclo, MS SQL or Access databases. Salary: somewhere around 700$ / month - full time job, but as you can think, it is really hard for 3 programers to handle such a line count Thank you for response!

What is your experience level? How many years have you been coding. You seem to be underpaid even by current developer wages. Michael :-) Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana

How does your salary compare to salaries of your friends working for other software development companies? Bread price doesn't give much information. Tomasz Sowinski -- http://www.shooltz.com

and 230sit = 0.990888 USD so one of your $s is as close to an american dollar as makes no difference. As a point of reference, I'd expect you to earn at least 4x more than the 700$ figure you gave, if you were working in the UK (that's as an entry level graduate sort of job - 5x more and up if you've got good experience) -- Help me! jejejeje... that sounds tasty. Actually it is in Mexico, and yes, this is a place much cheaper than US. To make a fair comparition, $40 dlls = about $388 Mexican pesos, and that's a lot for one dinner, you can have a good steak dinner for $20 dlls. :)
