How much are we worth???

Gethsus BigMac combo is about $40 - $42 That not US $, I hope! Mexico is a much cheaper place to live than the US, and here you can buy a steak and lobster dinner for $40. Not that I'd ever eat anything as vile as McDonald's or Burger King, of course. My idea of fast food heaven is a relleno with two enchiladas, frijoles and rice for about $7. A New Adjective Is Born!

The problem: Owner of our firm, thinks that we are overpaid for our work or with his words; "Your payment is normal, for the job you do", so i decided to put some words on this board. Please be so nice and write few words what do you think about our salary, so i can show it to him :D The overview of our work: 3 man crew, working on 2 projects, first is personal managment system with data analyzing and the second is attendence with Z80 programable terminal (or network of them) with our software (result is balance of hours with analyses) comunicating over network,... All together 213.309 lines of C++ MFC code Both programs are working either on Oraclo, MS SQL or Access databases. Salary: somewhere around 700$ / month - full time job, but as you can think, it is really hard for 3 programers to handle such a line count Thank you for response!
:wtf: I get that every two weeks, and I'm an intern entering 9th grade.

Hmm... Here Big Mac costs about 1.3 ~ 1.5 dollars each... And a programmer's salary of R$ 2100,00 (US$ 700) is very common here... Concussus surgo. When struck I rise.

We had in our staff a programmer that went from Porto Alegre for the same reason. She had quite an experience in programming ASP, ADO and SQL Server. She was receiving about R$ 1600,00 in Porto Alegre, and went to São Paulo for a job for R$ 2500,00. Now, she has skills on VB and Oracle and is earning about R$ 4000,00 (not on my company anymore). She said to me that in Porto Alegre no way she could get this salary, but I'm not so sure... All these values are non-CLT values. Concussus surgo. When struck I rise.

The art of paying someone is to get it low enough so that they do not leave , and high enough so they are happy . If you are still there then he is paying you enough. Oh no, you can't fool me. There ain't no Sanity Clause!
