I recently got back from the Professional Developer Conference (PDC) out in Los Angeles. While I was out there, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Chris Maunder. It's great to actually meet someone that you've only ever chatted with on a Web site and the occasional e-mail. As is made 100% obvious from his messages here on CP, Chris is a great guy. I only wish we'd had more time to chat. Oddly enough, I didn't see Bob anywhere. He must have been out partying with the ladies, or perhaps he was hard at work putting his plan for world domination into motion (or both!).

It was great meeting you too, Josh. I'm merely the janitor around here. You, on the other hand, are An Author Of Some Repute. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to chat for long. We've been thinking about how to make it easier for us all to just kick back and really have a chance to sit down and gossip so hopefully at TechEd or PDC 2009 we'll have a decent Lounge setup at the booth. BYO  ;)

    cheers, Chris Maunder

Hopefully I'll be able to attend one, or both, of those conferences. If so, I'll let you know!

Hey Chris, Long time. Sorry I didn't make PDC. Praying for MIX09 and the MVP Summit. Working hard at Microsoft and doing my part on the WPF Forum you set up for us. Have a super day!

Have you ever read Theif of Time[^]. A janitor turns out to be a legendary monk/fighter/philosopher. He learnt everything from quietly sweeping at the backs of lecture halls.

Roger Wilco[^] was a "mere janitor" too...

My ploy is to piss him off enough to come down here to slap me around, but at the last minute convince him it would be better if we just had lunch or something (I would buy of course). :)
