Based on the history of "cut the wire" on tv and film the obvious answer is .... ANY as the bomb never goes off! (note do not try and cut the wire until the timer shows less than 10 seconds as this is liable to detonate the bomb)

I googled it, and found A patent description for a wire cutter that is operated with an explosive charge[^]. Now that is one tool I don't particularly want in my tool box. "Honey, can you put a new plug on the hoover as I ripped it off again." "No problem, just let me get the explosives."

First off, calm down. Second, what you're looking at, isn't actually an "explosive device", it's called a Computer Power Supply ...

Pour liquid nitrogen over it all, coating well, and then just cut all the wires.

Hand the cutters to someone else, walk behind a wall and use a radio to tell *them* to cut the grounding wire from the battery to the timer circuit. Then put your fingers in your ears and count to ten slowly...

Wires of all the same color would sure shorten some movies.

Agreed. I'd just put 15 red wires, with 15 batteries, 3 displays with different times. Have fun! :-D

That's the same advise you gave me for fixing my internet problem, and that didn't work out so well for me. I think you give bad advise, and probably shouldn't be trusted. Not to mention the fact that you also told me that I didn't have to worry about spilling that stuff, and you were wrong. I don't think Mr. fluffy is ever going to forgive me, even if he does look better with a shorter tail. ;P
