Had Enough "Change" Yet?

I was just thinking earlier today that Inauguration Day would be a good day to start sporting a bumper sticker with the question "Had Enough "Change" Yet?" Then, this evening, I saw this: House Democrats Contemplate Abolishing 401(k) Tax Breaks[^]
Powerful House Democrats are eyeing proposals to overhaul the nation’s $3 trillion 401(k) system, including the elimination of most of the $80 billion in annual tax breaks that 401(k) investors receive. ...
Man, they're certainly wasting no time! Well, Democrats must be Democrats. And, apparently, voters are forbidden ever to learn. edit: Read more than the quoted introduction, see what these Democrats are saying, see how they think. Then ask yourself: "What in the hell am I thinking when I keep voting for these morons?"
This is Fascism -- and straight from the Fascist-elect: America Serves[^]
America Serves
"When you choose to serve -- whether it's your nation, your community or simply your neighborhood -- you are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That's why it's called the American dream."
The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

You are retarded. Programs to help people are fascist ? I guess Jesus was a fascist then ?

Did Jesus go around confiscating others' time and wealth -- under pain of death -- as this Obamanation plans to do?
Ignoring the 'confiscating other's time and wealth' part ( although I note that the early church shared their wealth in a most communist manner ), what do you mean, 'under pain of death' ? You think it's wrong for people to be encouraged to help one another, or you claim that people who refuse are going to be shot ?

Rather than having the government take a cut, why don't you just start sending me checks directly?
I love when you reply to me multiple times. It tells me that 1 - my replies get under your skin 2 - you're too stupid to know how to edit a post. I send money through charities to people who deserve help. Which is something else I believe Jesus encouraged.

There is a huge difference between the early church and communism. You can't possibly think they were similar at all. Yes, they (early Christians) shared wealth, but out of love for one another. Communism taxes, or outright takes money from people, to distribute to whom the leaders see fit. Its also wrong to suggest that the early church emulated communism, when it pre-dated that philosophy by over a millennium. Communism may have borrowed from the church, but not the other way around. What you suggest is almost blasphemous. Its like attributing the gifts of the holy spirit to being from Satan instead.

Forcing the general public to perform "community service" is retarded.

so is providing free education to the "general public" let them pay for it with their labor.

Ummmm... no. It's not free - it is paid for by my taxes.

Yes, your taxes - not necessarily the taxes of the parents of the kids in the school.

Which of those do you consider unearned?
Jon Smith & Wesson: The original point and click interface
I never said anything was "unearned" but all 3 routinely "pay out" to some individuals who have contributed little or nothing. Sadly - its just part of the deal. I knew a young woman (now dead) who never held a job in her life. At age 22 started collecting SS due to her drug addictions. She collected for approx 12 years before her death (killed during a B&E).

Amazing. Are you sure she wasn't getting SSI? That's not the same thing and is indeed usually paid to people who didn't earn it. At any rate, I don't have much of a problem with the little darlings being asked to do a couple hours a week of service in return for their education whether their parents pay taxes or not.
