Hi. Back from the hospital for the time being. They performed a stereotactical biopsy of my thalamus, and they were not pleased with the results. I have a grade III tumor right squat in the middle. They removed a tiny, tiny bit (a few hundred cells they said), just enough to get an idea of what is going on in there. Well, from what they've gathered, I felt pretty compelled to read the Gould article (thanks to - Bill was it, I think), and I am pretty optimistic now. No, I am probably not gonna be alright forever, but I've met people who have been living with a grade III tumor for 12 years now. I will start chemotherapy and radiation treatments in the next weeks. I just wanted to let you know: I appreciate all the positive feedback you guys have given me. I am not gonna give up. As a matter of fact, I've turned into a big-time optimist over the last weeks, and boy, is that a good feeling. I'll post here from time to time. If you do speak German, I have a blog at lebfuerdentag.blogspot.com .

Sebastian - your continued good cheer in the face of adversity is a real inspiration to all of us. We are continuing to think of you here in the Lounge. You're never far away from our thoughts. How's your other half taking it?

Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

She's my love, my life, my everything. She is always on my mind. She is my inspiration, and I love her so much, it makes my heart beat like crazy. Hot yarn, I just wish I'd met her earlier on :D

Make that an apple juice or something. I've never been much of a drinker, and now my doctor has somewhat raised my senses to the possible results of mixing chemo and alcohol. Not good. Luckily, not hard to skip the alc either.

Make that an apple juice or something. I've never been much of a drinker, and now my doctor has somewhat raised my senses to the possible results of mixing chemo and alcohol. Not good. Luckily, not hard to skip the alc either.

Well, the Kölsch I tasted was like a juice. :) Tasty though, I enjoyed it. At any rate, this is a minor thing and hopefully, transitory. You'll be able to have one or two ales in no time. Best wishes (nochmal).

I agree with some who ask, "what to say?" because I know there is nothing I can say or do to make the situation better. All I can do is say I hope for the best for you and you put that in your Support Pocket to rely upon in times of need. I wish nothing but the best care, the best results, and the quickest remission for you and the least amount of stress for your loved ones. I just hope babel translates your blog into something I can understand! Keep up the personal diary; it might become very valuable to you later on. ALL MY VERY, VERY, VERY BEST!!!!!!!
