Only, if I posted ten times as much I would be second to Christian Graus...

That has you in at #6 of all time post counts. When looking at my post count, I have to take into consideration that I didn't post my very first post until about a year/year and a half since creating my account.

Yup, down from #4 a few years ago. Nish was #1 for a long time, until the widespread rumor that he was really a posting bot released by a hacker got back to him. Then someone lit a fire under Christian and the top spot has been getting farther and farther away ever since.

 I remember at one time I was trying to keep up the rate the Nish was at. After a few days I gave up because that was not possible for me...

True, OTOH I've managed to keep ahead of all but 3 people who registered after I did: Guffa, led mike, and Mark Salsbery. Since I'm only a few hundred posts behind them, I could probably catch up in a week or two of concerted effort if I tried. :)

counting your own posts or even being aware of how many they are is pretty high on the lameness scale. :)

What about writing an application to poll the CP database so you can compile comparative ranks based on post count.

Sadly, it's been done. Nish did a whole series of statistical reports like this many years ago. The regulars here thought it was fun, and looked forward to the monthly releases. Then Nish got an upgraded (2 kbps) Internet connection and had no more time for such fun and games. :-D

Sadly, it's been done. Nish did a whole series of statistical reports like this many years ago. The regulars here thought it was fun, and looked forward to the monthly releases. Then Nish got an upgraded (2 kbps) Internet connection and had no more time for such fun and games. :-D

That is what would have kept the interest level high, not the content, it would have been an interesting programming excercise. Got to say it is rather pathetic focusing on your message count - almost as lame as being concerned about the votes your post get. I had a univoter for a while but he/she got bored when I went on holidays last ;P
