So tonight is my Office Christmas party. An attraction in the party is gift exchange game (some call it The Chinese Christmas). Everyone in the party brings a wrapped gift (< $25 in value) and places it under Christmas tree. Based on a number selected from a bowl, people take turns to pick a gift. A person can either select an unwrapped gift from under the tree or he can select a gift which someone else (whose turn was before him) had already picked. The game is pretty fun as sometimes a gift changes lot of hands. Either way this year I am out of ideas on what to buy. Ideally it needs to be something which people will fight for. Any suggestions? FYI: I have seen Hans's gift post.

The gift exchanges I've gone to always feature as one of the most popular items a nice bottle of red wine.

If the gift is in the shape of a bottle, it won't be regifted, and it will be the first one taken.
