As I have tried to explain to you, I do know what the bigger picture is, and I know how conspiracy theories fit into that. The social environment is the same, too - economic upheaval, fear of the future, distrust of the status quo... People need a hero, and a sense of change in the offing, and Obama offers them that, coupled with a charisma similar to that of JFK. It's going to be an interesting 4 years, to say the least. The man has been handed an opportunity that comes once in a generation and, having cast my vote and lost, I'm willing to give him a chance and see what he makes of it. A Hitler he isn't, but he has the chance to become one, if that's the way he's inclined. My sense, though, is that whether I agree with his policies or not (and I mostly don't), he is not bent on evil, but genuinely intent on doing what he considers good. I just don't agree that what he considers good is the best course for a free people to follow. I could be wrong... We'll know soon enough.:suss:
