What are some good hip-hop artists, or even certain tracks. I'm defending myself where I've said I like some hip-hop, but just don't remember any particular details.

Well, Anthrax did a couple of rap songs. Run DMC with Aerosmith were good. Other than that, I'm drawing a blank. I went to my son's school end of year presentation the other day. The number of 7 year olds wearing t-shirts that said things like 'get rich or die trying' was disturbing to me.

If you want thinking man's hip hop but very groovy and funky and modern without all the posing I highly recommend: Sweatshop Union. Put "Don't be afraid" in your ear and I think you'll like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wibB56iC61o[^]

Pretty much. Hmmm. I used to listen to them before I met my fiancee. :omg: that was almost 6 years ago. Time seems to be accelerating.

Hip-op (hip operation - he's an orthopaedic surgeon). Oh never mind, perhaps it's some baggy trousered shaggy wannabe who downvoted it.

The two terms "hip-hop" and "artist" are mutually exclusive.

Generally speaking you're right, but there are exceptions which I think my post above proves.

Damn you Mr. Cant get this tune out of my head ;P Awesome

A dogged, arrogant belief in self and the childlike idealism that comes with not knowing my limits. This is my greatest blessing, my priceless attribute.

:) It's very catchy. They have a lot of other good stuff as well. Oddly enough I found out about them watching The L Word when it was used in an episode.
