What? Do they keep spilling it? LINKY[^]

If I knew then what I know today, then I'd know the same now as I did then - then what would be the point? .\\axxx (That's an 'M')

I am not surprised, have you been to the northwest? It is nearly as bleak a hole as the northeast! I think only Scotland and wales are worse, although East Anglia and The Midlands are also desolate and uncultured. The Southwest is full of in-bred buffoons and even the South Coast has its questionables. I will stick to the home counties and London thank you, we have money, charm, talent, skills, facilities, good looks, etc No In-breeding! (Except maybe for Hertfordshire and Balham)

I think your comment about Wales is way too lenient. I went to Wales once on holiday - North Wales. Went in the pub where everyone was speaking English. As soon as we ordered drinks they all started jabbering on in Welsh. East Anglia - I'll high-6 you on that. East Riding of Yorkshire - Hornsea to Hull - Similar to Norfolk I think they are all related. As a Northerner I can't express our feelings for all those cheeky chirpy cockney sparrers without falling foul of the kid-sister rule (unlike Norfolk, SouthWest etc who seemingly relish the kid-sister rule :) )

My new favourite phrase - "misdirected leisure activity"

The Welsh have got every right to talk in Welsh if they want to, wherever and whenever they like. If you want to go on holiday to Wales why not make the effort to learn some Welsh and join in instead of taking offence? Would you be so angry with Frenchmen talking French in France?

My point is that the pub goers were speaking in the language of their historical overlords and then switched to jibber-jabber to exclude us. The French would be talking in French and stick to it.

If you went there with that attitude then I don't blame them.

The Queen's English? I thought she's a German married to a Greek immigrant! London is full of self-important, overpaid southern jessies who think the sun shines out of their backsides, when in actual fact they use it for verbal communication! :) If not that, they're all lovable gangsters who only kill their own, and love their old mums!
