In the forums (especially C++), the guys who seem to answer the majority of the questions. (In no particular order) Michael Dunn, Christian Graus(Mr STL), Tomasz Sowinski, Joaquín M López Muñoz. These guys are always in there helping others and have all given me good advice when needed. There are others but these four are the ones I tend to notice providing lots of help (even to the dumb questions) Of course special mention goes to Nish for his articles which explain things to me in terms even I understand. I will second Michael Butlers list. In addition to Chris, I have noticed Christian Graus and Tomasz Sowinski consistently there helping answer questions. I will also say especially the dumb ones. This is why I do not answer more than I do. Get some one who has never even opened a reference book and then just starts emailing you over and over. Now are these any more helpfull then those that edit the articles and never get seen, so they get posted? I can not judge there effort but guess those are the most committed. If you insist in finding evil in me you will find it, whether it is there or not.

Wow. *blush* I am really amazed how many people mentioned me, especially as my post count has been dropping off. Thanks, guys. I want to add my voice to the people who mentioned James T. Johnson. Both working with him on the CP screensaver, and since then when I've asked questions in the C# forum, he has helped me a lot in struggling with this new language. Special mention to Tom Archer on this front - who would have thought an author would be so approachable and willing to answer questions ? His help has often gone above and beyond the call of duty. On the C++ front, the person I learned most from in the early days was Michael Dunn, no doubt. I often remember asking questions and just hoping he would be online to reply. I should also thank the handful of people who have read and criticised all of my STL articles - without you guys to pull me in line I would only know half of what I do about the STL, and I thank you for it. Christian We're just observing the seasonal migration from VB to VC. Most of these birds will be killed by predators or will die of hunger.
